Seabait - the bait for angling
Seabait has revolutionised the supply of live marine worms for anglers.
Seabait ragworms are a very versatile bait, attracting a very broad range of fish species. The worms are ideal in murky, silt-laden water where a strong scent is essential for good catches. They are also perfect in clear water conditions where their bright colour and good movement make them highly visible.
Traditional methods of bait supply by digging worms from the intertidal areas have always been fraught with problems. Relatively few areas exist where marine worms can be collected economically, sustainably or without causing damage to the environment. Add to this the problems of access due to tides and season, and problems with worm quality and size, and it is no wonder that, when the first Seabait products were launched in the 1980s, anglers all round the coast of the UK said 'YES!'.
Today, Seabait production has grown sustainably, providing thousands of anglers with the highest quality marine worms available.
Seabait live worms can be bought boxed and graded by size, or loose and ungraded. Either way, these are the best ragworms money can buy.
Many of Britain's top boat and shore anglers, including Alec Harvey, Bob Gascoigne, Jim Dobie and Ritchie Flanagan, only use Seabait ragworms. Organisers of most of the UK and European International fishing competitions have ensured that Seabait ragworms are top of the list of baits supplied
Scottish international angler Steve Souter is one of Britain's most successful boat anglers. This is what he has to say about Seabait:
"Seabait worms deliver strong visual colour, uniformity of size and an oozing pungency - attributes which have a magical influence over particular species of fish."
- because Seabait worms catch fish.
